The proof is in the capture of a former-Iraqi officer who was and is a senior al Qaeda leader. Those of us who believed there was a connection between Saddam's Iraq and al Qaeda await even more evidence.
Why haven't we known of this connection or this capture before now? The guy has been providing information -- information which authorities wisely chose not to leak, obviously.
